Appeal for Information Following Death of Woman in Kensington

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police are urgently seeking witnesses and information after the tragic discovery of a woman’s body at her home in west London. The incident occurred on Sunday, June 23, at an address on Golborne Road, W10. Concerns had been raised for the welfare of 70-year-old Rita Fleming, prompting officers to respond.

Upon arrival, police forced entry into the property and found Rita unresponsive. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene. At this stage, Rita’s death is being treated as unexpected and unexplained, and detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding it. A post-mortem examination has already taken place.

Rita’s next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specially trained officers during this difficult time. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, emphasised the importance of gathering information: “My team continues to work diligently to establish the events that led to Rita’s death. We are keen to build a comprehensive picture of her movements in the days leading up to her discovery.”

Detective Chief Inspector Foxwell urged anyone who saw or heard from Rita between June 20 and June 23 to come forward with relevant information.
