DO NOT EAT Allergy Recall Aldi Pulls Steaks Amid ‘Do Not Eat’ Alert

Major UK Supermarket Bins £3.99 Steaks in Urgent Allergy Recall

Aldi Pulls Steaks Amid ‘Do Not Eat’ Alert

Aldi has urgently recalled its £3.99 Ashfields 30 Day Matured Thin Cut Beef Steaks after a packaging error put allergy sufferers at risk. The steaks contain milk, but shockingly, this wasn’t listed on the label.

Use-By Date Sparks Panic

The faulty packets, bearing a use-by date of October 26, 2025, could trigger severe reactions for anyone allergic or intolerant to milk. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) blasted the blunder, saying:

“This product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents due to a packaging error.”

Shoppers who bought the steaks have been warned: do not eat them. Instead, take them back to Aldi stores for a full refund.

Aldi Forced Into Damage Control Again

This latest recall follows hot on the heels of another Aldi fiasco involving their Gianni’s Cheeky Monkey Ice Cream, which was yanked from shelves for failing to warn about wheat content – a major threat for those with coeliac disease or wheat allergies.

The retailer is clearly struggling to get its labels right, leaving allergy sufferers at risk and customers fuming.

What Aldi Is Doing Now

  • Aldi has issued point-of-sale notices explaining the recall to customers.
  • The supermarket is working with allergy support groups to spread the word.
  • Full refunds are being offered to customers with affected products.

For anyone with milk allergies, Aldi’s steaks are a no-go. If you have one, don’t risk it – check your fridge now!
