Aldi has been crowned the cheapest supermarket for your weekly shop by consumer champions at Which?.
In the annual price comparison of UK supermarkets conducted by Which?, Aldi was named the Cheapest Supermarket of the Year for 2023. This recognition extends Aldi’s streak as the UK’s cheapest supermarket for the third consecutive year. Additionally, Aldi topped Which?’s list as the cheapest supermarket for December.
The research from Which? analyzed the prices of groceries and everyday household essentials, such as bread, milk, and eggs, and found that Aldi consistently offered the lowest prices compared to other supermarkets.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, expressed her delight at receiving the award, saying, “We’re absolutely delighted to be named the Cheapest Supermarket of the Year for a third year running. We are committed to providing shoppers with the best quality products at the lowest prices, and it’s great to have that officially recognized by a highly respected consumer champion, such as Which?.”
Aldi has not only maintained its position as the UK’s cheapest supermarket but also won the monthly award a record 11 times in 2023. As shoppers seek to make their budgets go further, Aldi’s commitment to affordability and quality has solidified its position as a top choice for cost-conscious consumers.
As we enter 2024, Aldi remains dedicated to offering customers the best prices on their weekly shopping, continuing its legacy as the go-to destination for value-conscious shoppers.
