Emergency crews rushed to the A406 North Circular Road at Barking last night after a Range Rover Sport caught fire while heading northbound.
The incident occurred just after 8pm on Wednesday, May 7, with firefighters from the London Fire Brigade mobilised to tackle the blaze.
Images from the scene showed thick smoke rising as the luxury vehicle was engulfed in flames, causing significant disruption to traffic in the area.

Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The blaze has left the vehicle a total right off and 100% damaged by fire.

Drivers faced delays as emergency services worked to extinguish the flames and clear the wreckage from the busy route.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the evening rush as traffic backed up along the North Circular.
