A228 Ashton Way Closed After Serious Crash Near West Malling

A serious crash has prompted the closure of the A228 Ashton Way, known as the West Malling bypass, between Kings Hill and Leybourne. Police are currently on the scene investigating the incident, which is believed to have occurred around 6 pm.

The closure affects both directions of the A228 Ashton Way and spans from Tower View in Kings Hill to the Leybourne turn-off. The bypass will remain closed while authorities respond to the situation.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: We are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the #A228 Ashton Way #WestMalling. Both carriageways are closed between Tower View #KingsHill and the #A20 #Leybourne. Motorists and those using West Malling train station via the A228 should consider alternative routes.
