What We Know So Far

The collision, reported around 9:00 PM, involved a car and a trailer near Gateway Junction in Rainham, resulting in confirmed casualties and persons trapped, according to initial emergency dispatch logs. The London Ambulance Service (LAS) and Met Police responded alongside fire crews.

Traffic has built up significantly, with congestion now stretching past Marsh Way, affecting routes from Dagenham and beyond. Queues are heavy on approach and drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
