A major collision involving a Metropolitan Police response vehicle has blocked the A12 Northbound between A106 Eastway (Lea Interchange, Stratford) and the Green Man Roundabout (Wanstead), causing severe delays across East London.

The accident, first reported shortly after 5pm, has left the northbound carriageway fully blocked, with emergency services including traffic units, fire crews, and accident investigators still on the scene.

Met Police Vehicle a ‘Total Write-Off’

Sources at the scene indicate that the police vehicle involved is believed to be a total write-off, with extensive damage reported. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash.

The southbound side of the A12 is also restricted due to emergency service vehicles attending the incident.
