A Suspected Robber Was Arrested Just 20 Minutes After Allegedly Stealing A Delivery Vehicle In Canterbury

 

Kent Police was called at 12.55pm on Thursday 14 April 2022 to a report that a van containing a large quantity of parcels had been taken in Chaucer Road.

 

Officers were deployed and arrested a man in Godden Road at 1.15pm. The van and its contents were also recovered.

 

Ronnie Mead, 33, of Hunton Gardens, Canterbury, has since been charged with robbery, driving without insurance and possession of cannabis.

 

He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 16 April and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 16 May.
