A serving Met police officer has been charged with assault and perverting the course of justice

PC Daniel Beegan Charged with Sexual Assault: Court Date Set

PC Bilal Naveed of North-East BCU, was arrested on 21 April in connection with an assault on Saturday, 1 April whilst the officer was off duty.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 24 April.

The Directorate of Professional Standards and the IOPC have been made aware.

PC Naveed is currently suspended.
