On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, just after 1pm, emergency services were called. A man fell from a height while working on scaffolding at a property in Queens Park, West London.

A rope rescue line specialist from the London Fire Brigade, a 32-metre turntable ladder from the London Fire Brigade, and a “HART” team from the London Ambulance Service were all dispatched to the scene.

Despite the best efforts of “Hart” paramedics and the rope rescue team, the man died at the scene.

Met police officers have launched an investigation, as have officers from the health and safety executive and the coroner.
While officers conduct their investigation, a large area remains cordoned off.
To recover a man who had fallen approximately 20 metres from a two-story building, firefighters used rope rescue packs and a turntable ladder.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We were called at 12.22pm today (24 January) to reports of an incident on Fifth Avenue, West Kilburn.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART). We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Sadly, despite the best efforts of our medics, a person died at the scene.”
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 12:30pm on Tuesday, 24 January to reports of a man fallen from height on Fifth Avenue, W10.
Emergency services including London’s Air Ambulance attended. The man was provided with medical treatment but died at the scene.
His family has been informed.
The Health and Safety Executive has been notified.
