A man has been jailed for more than two years after he was convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.

On 4 February this year, the victim, a woman aged in her twenties, was attacked in the presence of her young child.

She received several injuries, had her clothes ripped and also had a knife held to her throat by Clark, who made a threat to kill her.

She sustained multiple bruises around her body.

Clark was arrested the following day (5 February) and was charged the following day.

David Clark, aged 30, of Rembrandt Way, Reading, pleaded guilty to one count of ABH at Reading Crown Court on 13 March this year, and one count of affray at the same court on Monday (3/7).

Returning to the same court for sentencing today (5/7), Clark was jailed for a total of two years and three months.
