A man has been charged with various offences following a proactive investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command
Man Charged with Distributing Terrorist Material and Supporting ISIS

Robert Adamski, 28 of Leyton, E10, was charged late on Wednesday 17 July with:

  • Two counts of Possession of a component part of a Firearm, contrary to Section 5 Firearms Act 1968
  • Two counts of dissemination of terrorist publications, contrary to section 2 of the Terrorism Act (TACT), 2006
  • Possession of documents likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to section 58 TACT, 2000

He is due to appear today, Thursday, 18 July at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

On Thursday, 11 July, officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command arrested a man in Leyton on suspicion of an offence contrary to Section 5 Terrorism Act 2000. He was taken to police custody and detained under TACT, with officers obtaining a warrant for his further detention until 18 July.

On the same day, officers also arrested a woman on suspicion of possession of a Section 5 Firearm. She has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The man was subsequently charged as above.

The investigation relates to suspected extreme right wing terrorism and officers do not believe there is any threat to the public in relation to this.
