Canterbury Man Charged with GBH After Sussex Avenue Assault

Kent Police was called to the premises on Beach Street on Monday 17 June 2024 after it was reported that a man had consumed food and drink to the value of £95 and did not pay.

Officers attended and a man was arrested on suspicion of theft.

Following an investigation by Dover’s Victim Based Crime Team, Anthony Lamont, 43, was charged with theft on Tuesday 18 June.

Mr Lamont, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 19 June.
