A man has been arrested on suspicion of dissemination of terrorist material – UKNIP

 

Officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, supported by the Eastern Region Specialist Operations Unit, have arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of dissemination of terrorist publications contrary to S.2 TACT 2006 and breach of Part 4 Notification requirements (namely not providing an email identifier that they were using) contrary to Section 54(1)(b) of the Terrorism Act 2008). 

The man was arrested at approximately 12:45pm on Wednesday, 21 October. 

He was arrested under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act at an address in Luton and taken into custody at a south London police station. 

Officers are carrying out searches at the address.
