A double-decker bus carrying Hinkley Point employees overturned early this morning, injuring many. Emergency services have been called to the scene of the accident on the A39 near Bridgwater’s Sandford Hill. The emergency services are treating the injured and attempting to free some of the trapped workers on the bus. So far, few details about the crash, which occurred around 6 a.m. this morning, have emerged. It is believed that around 80 workers were on the bus on their way to their next shift. 

Three Air ambulances have been flown into the Bristol Royal Infirmary
A spokesman for Hinkley Point said he could not comment on how many workers were involved or whether they had been injured.
Emergency services are on the scene and travel to and from the site has been suspended,” he said in a statement.
