Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision near Pevensey this morning, which claimed the life of a 54-year-old motorcyclist from Hastings.
The tragic incident occurred around 6:20 AM on the A27, involving a motorbike and a car. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the motorcyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
The collision has led to the closure of the A27 in both directions, with the road expected to remain closed until mid-afternoon as officers conduct a thorough investigation. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder following a stabbing in Hailsham on Thursday (29 August).
Emergency services were called to the Vicarage Field area at around 6.20pm to reports of a man having suffered a serious injury to his chest.
