Woman rescued from house ablaze on Hayling Island

Firefighters have rescued a woman from a house fire on Hayling Island this afternoon.

Fire crews from Hayling Island, Havant, Cosham and Portchester rescued a female casualty from a property that was ablaze. The blaze is understood to have started in the kitchen within the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus committed themselves into the property and used 2 hose reels to extinguish the fire. The female casualty who was rescued was checked at the scene and luckily sustained no injuries.
