Kent Police have launched an urgent witness appeal after a woman suffered serious injuries when she was allegedly punched and pushed from a moving vehicle in Tunbridge Wells on Saturday night.
The incident occurred between 9pm and 9.45pm on 14 June 2025 along Pembury Road, near the junction with Sandrock Road and Dunorlan Park.
Victim Thrown from Grey Van
Detectives say the female victim was travelling in a small grey van, believed to resemble a car in size and appearance. During the journey, she was punched in the head by the driver, a man known to her, before allegedly being pushed out of the moving van at speed.
The woman sustained serious cuts, burns and grazes to her head, face, and body. A passing motorist stopped to help before she was taken to hospital.
Suspect Fled the Scene
The suspect fled the scene in the van, which had earlier approached Pembury Road from High Street and Grove Hill Road. Officers say it may have been seen driving erratically and at high speed.
Detective Constable Tom Bale said:
“The victim was pushed from the vehicle at speed and it is only by chance she didn’t suffer more serious or even fatal injuries. The suspect was driving a small grey van which may also have the appearance of a car. It approached Pembury Road from the direction of the High Street and Grove Hill Road and may have been seen moving erratically and at high speeds.”
