Woman fighting for life after being mowed down Driver of Autoglass van arrested in Billericay

A woman has left with serious injuries after being run over by a van in the town of Billericay in Essex. An investigation has been launched by Essex Police and the vehicle is being forensically examined by specialist collision scene officers following the incident that took place just after lunch on Monday on Alma Link. https:///youtu.be/Ty0RPzGs0Rs Officers from Essex Roads Policing are currently on the scene following a road collision. Paramedic and an air ambulance were sent to the scene. A 58-year-old man, who was the driver of the Ford Transit, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs or drink.

He has been taken to nearby Billericay Police station for questioning. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01245 240590 or email [email protected]
