Officers have detained two individuals following an assault on a man in his 70s in Bexleyheath. The incident took place in Market Place, prompting a swift response from the police.
At approximately 4:05 pm this afternoon (July 10), the authorities were alerted to the assault and promptly dispatched officers to the scene. Upon arrival, it was reported that a man in his 70s had been forcefully pushed to the ground.
The Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated, “Police were called at about 16:05hrs on Monday, 10 July to reports of an assault on Market Place in Bexleyheath. Officers attended and were informed that a man, aged in his 70s, had been pushed to the ground.”
Fortunately, two individuals suspected of involvement in the assault were apprehended nearby. The police have taken them into custody for further questioning. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
