Two Arrested and Vehicle Seized in Cross-Border Rural Crime Investigation

Two men have been arrested and a vehicle seized as part of an ongoing cross-border police investigation into violent disorder and rural criminality.

Rural engagement officers from Essex Police assisted Cambridgeshire Constabulary in the operation, which is investigating a series of offences including hare coursing, criminal damage, and dangerous driving in Cambridgeshire on January 25, 2025.

Arrests and Vehicle Seizure

On Tuesday, February 4, police arrested two men near Chelmsford:

  • A 22-year-old man
  • A 51-year-old man

A vehicle linked to the investigation was also seized.

Both suspects have since been bailed while Cambridgeshire Constabulary continues its inquiries.

Police Appeal for Information

Authorities are urging anyone with information or footage related to the incidents on January 25 to come forward.
