In a heart-wrenching incident, a 10-year-old boy who was electrocuted at Tiffany’s Hotel in Blackpool has tragically lost his life. The young boy was found unresponsive at the hotel situated on the bustling Promenade last Sunday evening. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital with injuries that strongly indicated contact with a “high voltage” electrical source. Despite medical efforts, he passed away in the hospital on Thursday.

Local authorities have expressed their condolences and support for the grieving family, who were by the boy’s bedside during his final moments. A spokesperson for the police said, “Our thoughts are with them at this time,” acknowledging the profound pain the family is enduring.

Tiffany’s Hotel, in response to the tragic incident, has made the difficult decision to voluntarily close its doors while both the police investigation and their own inspections are carried out. The hotel management released a statement expressing their deep sorrow, saying, “We are heartbroken by the news we have received today, and our thoughts and prayers remain with the family at this distressing time.” They emphasised their ongoing commitment to guest safety and comfort and assured that their phone lines would remain open.

The hotel further pledged its full cooperation with the relevant authorities to assist in the investigation. Tiffany’s Hotel, known for its proximity to Blackpool’s vibrant attractions, has promised to provide any necessary support to ensure a thorough examination of the incident.
