Toddler Who Died in Forest Hill Fell from a Height, Police Confirm – UKNIP

A two-year-old boy who died after an emergency response in Forest Hill on Saturday, 18 May, had fallen from a height, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to Wynell Road, SE23, at 12:17pm following reports of an injured child. Officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics attended the scene, where they found the toddler in critical condition.

He was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital, but tragically died a short time later.

Death Treated as Unexpected

The child’s family is being supported by specially trained officers, and the death is currently being treated as unexpected.

A police spokesperson said:

“We understand the considerable concern this incident will cause within the community. An investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances.”

At this stage, no arrests have been made.

Images shared on social media show a large emergency response, including ambulance crews and London’s air ambulance, attending the residential street.

Investigation Underway

Detectives are now working to understand how the child came to fall. Further updates from the Metropolitan Police are expected as inquiries continue.

The local community in Forest Hill has expressed shock and sadness, with tributes and condolences beginning to appear online.
