Three People Have Been Sentenced In Banbury For Drug Offences

Three people have been sentenced in Banbury for drug offences.

Dominic Daly-Vint, 30, of College Road in Birmingham, Lewis Ayre, 23, of HMP Channings Wood in Devon, and Samantha Halliday, 30, of Hornton Drive in Banbury all pleaded guilty to two counts of being involved in the supply of controlled class A drugs, crack and heroin.

At Oxford Crown Court on Friday (17/6), Daly-Vint was sentenced to four years and six months in prison, Ayre to five years and three months in prison, and Halladay to a two-year suspended sentence and 240 hours of unpaid work.

Daly-Vint and Ayre were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act on March 30, last year. Both were arrested after drugs were discovered.

Daly-Vint had a key to a house on Hornton Drive, where officers discovered a large amount of class A drugs.

During the search, Halliday returned home and was arrested.

On December 13, 2021, all three were charged.

I am very pleased this investigation has resulted in these convictions,” said PC Jordan McClay, based at Bicester police station.

“I hope this demonstrates to people that we take drug supply issues very seriously, and that anyone involved will be targeted by the Stronghold team in order to bring offenders to justice.”

“We continue to need the public’s help in this, and we would like to ask them to report any information they have about drug dealing.”
