Teenager Hospitalised After Assault in Bristol: Police Appeal for Information – UKNIP

A 16-year-old boy is currently receiving treatment in the hospital following an assault near John Cozens House in St Judes, Bristol. The incident took place on Saturday, September 30, and the police were alerted by the ambulance service shortly after 20.15 BST

The victim reported being attacked around 19,50 BST by a group of eight to ten boys. Seeking refuge at a friend’s home within the block, he was subsequently taken to the hospital for suspected stab wounds.

Police officers have conducted initial inquiries at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Preliminary findings suggest that the offenders arrived and departed, with some utilising two bicycles and an e-scooter. The individuals wore dark clothing, and some covered their faces during the assault.

The offenders are believed to have entered along Wade Street and Lamb Street, fleeing the scene via Wade Street and Wellington Road after the attack. Neighbourhood officers and detectives convened with community leaders on Sunday, October 1, to discuss the incident.

Sergeant Brett Worthington expressed concern over the incident, stating, “This is a worrying incident, and we’re listening to the community. We have targeted patrols in place and some positive lines of enquiry to follow up.” He urged residents to communicate any concerns to the neighbourhood team to ensure effective patrols.

The police are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of John Cozens House between 19.30 BST and 20.30 BST on Saturday, September 30, and witnessed the incident or possesses relevant footage or information to come forward.
