Suspect Wanted for Homophobic Attack in Queens Road, Brighton

Sussex Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a man involved in an unprovoked assault on Queens Road, Brighton, on June 7.

Two men were violently punched in the face after being subjected to homophobic abuse. The attack occurred as the victims stopped near Belgian Chips while heading to Brighton train station following a live music event on the beach.

The suspect, described as being in his 40s and wearing a grey coat, may be part of the street community.

Detective Constable James Botting stated, “After completing a number of enquiries in an effort to identify the man, we are turning to the public for their support. If you recognise this man, please call 101, quoting serial 1501 of 7/6.”

This appeal highlights the importance of community cooperation in ensuring safety and justice.
