Roads Closed in Brixton After Late-Night Flat Fire

Roads in Brixton were closed last night following reports of a flat fire in Holmewood Road. Emergency services were alerted at 11.37pm on Friday, September 13, with the London Fire Brigade promptly attending the scene.

Firefighters successfully managed the blaze, and there were no reports of injuries. Authorities implemented road closures in the surrounding area while the fire was being handled.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 11.37pm on Friday, September 13, to reports of a fire at a flat in Holmewood Road, SW2. London Fire Brigade attended and dealt with the blaze. No reports of any injuries. Road closures were put in place while the fire was dealt with. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”

Residents and motorists are advised to remain cautious as the investigation continues.
