Schoolboy Airlifted to London Hospital After Serious Ramsgate Collision

A school-age boy has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a collision involving a car and a motorcycle or scooter in Ramsgate this morning.

Emergency services were called to Grange Road at around 11.10am, where the young rider was found with serious head and femur injuries.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) and Kent Police responded swiftly to the scene. The Air Ambulance Charity, Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) landed nearby at Ramsgate Football Club grounds to assist with advanced care and transport.

A SECAmb spokesperson confirmed:
“Crews assessed and treated the motorcyclist at the scene for injuries to their head and femur. The patient was airlifted to King’s College Hospital in London for further medical treatment.”

A section of Grange Road was cordoned off by police to allow emergency services to safely treat the patient and investigate the circumstances of the crash.

Ongoing Investigation

Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing, and no arrests have been reported at this time.

The condition of the injured boy has not yet been publicly updated, but it is understood he remains under specialist care at the London hospital.
