Fake Nurses Snatch Jewellery in Crawley and East Grinstead – UKNIP

Police are hunting two women posing as nurses who pulled off brazen distraction burglaries in Crawley and East Grinstead.

Trickery on Ifield Drive

The first swindle happened at 3pm on 23 September, when the pair knocked on a home in Ifield Drive, Crawley. Claiming they were sent by doctors for medical checks, they gained entry. One of the women then asked to use the toilet — and made off with valuable jewellery.

Strike Two in East Grinstead

Just two hours later at 5pm, the duo struck again on Fairfield Road, East Grinstead. Using the same ruse, they got inside another property and nabbed more jewellery.

A third report from Ifield Drive suggests the pair tried another house but left empty-handed.

Police Launch Operation Dawn

Detectives have linked the incidents and are on the trail of the suspects. Officers urge anyone who saw the women or has info to come forward, quoting Operation Dawn.
