Police Conduct Search In Hawkinge Woods After Reports Of Armed Man

Police launched a search operation in Reinden Wood, located in Hawkinge near Folkestone, following reports of a man seen carrying a weapon in the area.

The incident was reported at 3:55 PM local time today, prompting armed Police teams to swiftly respond and conduct a thorough search of the woodland.

A spokesperson for Kent Police provided an update, stating, “Officers carried out a search of the area, and no one matching the man’s description was located.

Kent Police have clarified that this search operation is not currently linked to the ongoing manhunt for the escaped terror suspect, Daniel Khalife.
