Police Arrest Two for Vandalism in Wirral
Arrest Made Following Reported Bomb Hoax in Gosport

In a late-night spree of destruction, two males were apprehended following reports of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour in Wirral on Saturday, 15 June.

At approximately 11.40pm, Police were alerted to the duo’s rampage as they shattered the windscreens of several vehicles along Napier Road and Shorefields in New Ferry. Witnesses reported the pair fleeing towards New Chester Road.

Swift action led to the arrest of a 23-year-old man from Rock Ferry and a 17-year-old from Prenton, both suspected of criminal damage. They are currently detained for questioning.

Chief Inspector David Morgan of Wirral Local Policing condemned the acts, emphasising the community’s reliance on their vehicles and the unnecessary repair burdens now faced by owners. He appealed for witnesses and footage from CCTV, doorbell cameras, or dash-cams that could aid in identifying additional suspects.

Information regarding this incident can be reported to the police by calling 101, direct messaging @MerPolCC, or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 concerning 24000531643.
