Kent Fire and Rescue Service swiftly responded to a report of a crash involving three vehicles on Rochester Road in Burham. The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

Upon receiving the call, two fire engines were dispatched to the scene, equipped with essential rescue tools. The skilled firefighters utilised battery-powered tools, including the Jaws of Life, hydraulic spreaders, rams, and cutting tools, to carefully remove the door of a vehicle involved in the collision. Their efficient actions allowed them to safely extricate an individual trapped inside.

Following the successful rescue operation, the person was handed over to the care of SECAmb paramedics present at the scene. The paramedics provided immediate medical attention and assessed the individual’s condition. Subsequently, the duty of care was transferred to the capable hands of Kent Police.
