Pedestrian Dies in Road Traffic Collision in Worcestershire

A man has tragically died following a road traffic collision in Worcestershire late last night. West Midlands Ambulance Service was alerted at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2024, after receiving multiple 999 calls reporting a serious incident involving a pedestrian on the southbound carriageway of the A435 Hollywood Bypass, Hollywood.

Emergency response teams, including two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and a MERIT trauma team, rushed to the scene. When they arrived, police officers were already performing CPR on the injured pedestrian. Ambulance staff promptly took over and began advanced life support efforts.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service stated: “When ambulance staff arrived, they found police officers performing CPR on a pedestrian, a man. The team of ambulance staff quickly commenced advanced life support but sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone, nothing could be done to save the pedestrian, and he was confirmed dead on the scene.”

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has relevant information to come forward.
