The incident occurred shortly after 3.30pm on Thursday, June 15, near Mountnessing, when Tom was involved in a collision with a single vehicle. His passing has deeply affected those who knew him, and his family shared their heartfelt tribute in a statement.
Describing Tom as a joyful and adventurous young man, his family highlighted his immense capacity for kindness and generosity. They noted the numerous personal tributes from around the world that have been shared on social media since his tragic death, demonstrating the impact he had on others. Tom was known for reaching out to people and offering friendship and support, even when faced with adversity. In connection with the incident, a 31-year-old man from Northamptonshire, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, has been released on bail until September 10. Additionally, a 30-year-old man from Northamptonshire, arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, has been released under investigation.
