RELEASED ON BAIL Man Dies After Hit by Car in Crowborough

Tragedy struck Crowborough on Friday night when a 47-year-old local man was fatally hit by a car on Eridge Road.

Driver Arrested and Released on Bail

At around 10:15pm on 17 October, emergency services rushed to the scene. Paramedics treated the pedestrian, but he sadly died on the spot.

The driver, a 35-year-old man from Tunbridge Wells, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless or dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail while investigations continue.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Sussex Police are urging anyone who saw the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
