Stratford, Newham – Detectives have charged a 39-year-old man in connection with a reported rape incident in Stratford, Newham. The investigation was initiated on Thursday, January 11, after receiving a report of a woman in her 30s being sexually assaulted earlier that same day.

Dancho Danchev, aged 39 and residing in Woodford Green, was charged on Friday, January 12, with rape, actual bodily harm, and possession of a class B drug. Following his initial appearance at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, January 13, he was remanded in custody.

Dancho Danchev is scheduled to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday, February 9, as the investigation continues. Police officers are providing ongoing support to the victim during this challenging time.
