A man in his 60s has been arrested following a triple stabbing at East Street Market in Walworth earlier today, November 10. The incident occurred around 10:40 a.m. near Walworth Road, leaving one man dead and two others injured.
Emergency services, including officers from the Metropolitan Police and crews from the London Ambulance Service, arrived on the scene to find three people suffering from stab wounds. Tragically, one man was pronounced dead at the scene. A man and a woman were transported to the hospital for treatment, though their current conditions remain unknown.

Police are working to confirm the identity of the deceased and to inform his family of the tragedy. The arrested man is currently in police custody in connection with the incident.
Commander Peter Stevens of the Metropolitan Police expressed sympathy for the victims and assured the public that officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack. “Tragically, a man lost his life this morning, and officers are working hard to establish exactly what happened and to provide support to his family,” he said. “Our investigation is at a very early stage. One man was rapidly arrested by officers responding to the incident. At present, although enquiries are ongoing, nobody else is sought.”
