Lorry driver dies after collision near junction 3 of M25

Investigators are appealing for witnesses after a lorry driver died following a collision near Swanley. At around 7am on Thursday 31 May Kent Police received initial reports a vehicle had collided with the central reservation on the M25, as it was approaching junction three from the direction of the Dartford Crossing. The lorry then exited the motorway at junction three, before colliding at a roundabout for the A20 and M20. Police and ambulance crews attended and the driver, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved and it is believed he may have suffered a medical episode. His next of kin have been informed. Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the lorry being driven beforehand; particularly those who may have dash cam footage.
