Derbyshire Constabulary has initiated an investigation after a 44-year-old woman tragically lost her life in an incident on Bass Street, Derby, earlier today, Wednesday 3 January.
At 07.30am Police received a call reporting that the woman had been found with head injuries. Despite being swiftly transported to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
In connection with the incident, two men aged 47 and 49 have been arrested and are currently assisting the police with their inquiries while in custody.
Authorities are appealing to the public for any information relevant to the ongoing investigation. Individuals with CCTV or dash-cam footage captured between the hours of 20.00 on Tuesday 2 and 08.00 on Wednesday 3 January 2024 are urged to come forward.
