Heartwarming Water Rescue: Distressed Springer Spaniel Saved at Pagham Harbour – UKNIP

A distressed Springer Spaniel named “Hendrix” was the subject of a water rescue operation yesterday. The incident took place at Pagham Harbour, by the wall in Pagham.

Selsey Coastguard team was alerted to the emergency at 8.58am when Hendrix found himself stranded on a mud bank after jumping into the water and being unable to swim back to safety. A water rescue was immediately initiated.

The team used their specialised Coastguard Water Rescue Raft and was also armed with dog treats to assist in calming and luring the frightened animal.

Upon reaching Hendrix, the Coastguard members were greeted by a dog that was happy to see them. The reunion with his thankful owners was an emotional moment for all involved.
