Two men have been arrested after police discovered a handgun discarded during a vehicle stop on Wrottesley Road in Plumstead.
Incident Details:
At approximately 4:41 PM, officers on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle in the area. The driver and occupants of the vehicle fled on foot, discarding a bag as they attempted to escape. Officers pursued the suspects and quickly detained two individuals, one of whom was tasered during the operation.
Upon searching the discarded bag, officers discovered a handgun. The firearm was seized, and the two suspects were taken into custody.

“Officers on patrol near Wrottesley Road, SE18, attempted to stop a vehicle at around 16:41hrs on Wednesday, January 22. The occupants decamped and discarded a bag containing a handgun. Two suspects were swiftly detained and arrested. One man was tasered during the incident.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
