Fire rips through Lee on the Solent Property

A fire has ripped through a property in Lee Solent this morning. Fire crews from Gosport,Fareham and Southsea have been called to tackle the fire that has spread through the property on Osprey Gardens. Crews have been committed into the property wearing breathing apparatus with hose reels. It is understood that the fire started in a toaster and spread very rapidly through the property. An aerial ladder platform was sent from Southsea but wasn’t required due to fire crews efforts to stop the fire from spreading to the roof and neighbouring property. Crews gained access to an joining property as it was thought fire may have spread after burning through to the first floor bedroom. It is understood the owner had put the toaster in and left it unattended and came back into to the kitchen and found the fire has spread to a cupboard and other areas of the kitchen. More to Follow
