Fire Breaks Out in Flats in Tunbridge Wells
Car Fire on A2 Coastbound Extinguished by Kent Fire and Rescue Service

In a developing incident, Kent Fire and Rescue Service is currently responding to a fire that erupted in a block of flats located on Linden Park Road, Tunbridge Wells.

As of Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 2,13pm, six fire engines and a height vehicle have been deployed to the scene to combat the blaze. Firefighting crews, equipped with breathing apparatus, are actively engaged in tackling the flames using hose reel jets and main jets.

Additionally, partner agencies, including Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), are present to provide support and assistance as needed.

Amid the chaos, two individuals have been reported to have suffered from the effects of smoke inhalation. They have been promptly attended to by SECAmb paramedics to receive the necessary medical attention.

At this stage, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are underway to determine the origin and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Residents and passersby are urged to exercise caution and cooperate with emergency services personnel as they work diligently to bring the situation under control and ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
