Dalmally, Scotland – Road policing officers are urgently appealing for information following a tragic and fatal crash on the A85 between Dalmally and Tyndrum. The incident occurred around 4.10pm on Friday, 21 July, involving a grey Kawasaki ZR1000 motorcycle.
Regrettably, the rider, identified as a 67-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The devastating accident prompted the closure of the road, which was later reopened around 1.15am on Saturday
Sergeant Brian Simpson expressed his heartfelt condolences, stating, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died, and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding this tragedy.”
In their bid to gather crucial details about the accident, the police officer made a public appeal for witnesses. He urged anyone present in the vicinity at the time of the crash, who may have witnessed the incident, to come forward and provide their accounts to the authorities. The investigation team is especially interested in hearing from those who have not yet spoken to officers about what they saw.
Sergeant Simpson also highlighted the importance of dash-cam footage in their efforts to piece together the events leading up to the fatal collision. He urged individuals with any relevant recordings to come forward and share them with the investigators to aid in their inquiry.
