Explosion Kills Many In Pakistan

Tragedy struck in southwest Pakistan as a powerful bomb exploded during a rally celebrating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, claiming the lives of at least six people and leaving dozens wounded, according to officials and media reports.

The bombing unfolded in Mastung, a district in Balochistan province, on Friday, as confirmed by government administrator Atta Ullah. Those injured were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals, with some in critical condition. Ullah, however, provided no further details regarding the nature of the explosion.

As the community grapples with the aftermath, no armed group has claimed responsibility for the devastating attack. Muslims in Pakistan and across the globe traditionally mark the birthday of Islam’s prophet with public gatherings, emphasising unity and celebration.

This grim incident follows an earlier blast in Mastung earlier this month, where at least 11 people, including a prominent religious leader, sustained injuries. The region now faces a somber reality as authorities work to uncover the perpetrators behind these tragic events, leaving communities in mourning and heightened concern for public safety.
