Bedroom Fire in Ashford Extinguished by Fire Crews

Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded promptly to a house fire in Clarendon Place, Dover, earlier today. The emergency call, which came in at approximately 4.31pm on Thursday 9th May 2024, prompted the dispatch of four fire engines to the scene.

Firefighting teams, equipped with personal protective equipment and breathing apparatus, tackled the blaze using high-pressure hose reel jets and main jets. The swift response helped contain and eventually extinguish the fire effectively.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident. The Kent Fire and Rescue Service’s volunteer response team was also on-site, offering necessary support and assistance to the residents affected by the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and further details will be disclosed as they become available. In the meantime, local authorities are assessing the damage and coordinating with displaced residents to provide relief and aid recovery efforts.
