Biker rushed to hospital following collision in Brading

A motorcycle rider has been rushed to St Mary’s Hospitial this evening with injuries that are not thought to be life threatening or life changing following a two vehicle Collision in Brading. The man was rushed to hospital under blue light from the scene just before 10pm on Friday evening due to the mechanism of injury after he collided with front of the pick up truck. New Road in Brading remains closed whilst Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Roads Policing carry out a collision scene investigation. The rider is understood to have collided with a blue Nissan pickup truck just after 9.35pm. Local buses that services the area have also been effected by the road closure. Drivers have been diverted via Mall Road whilst the closure is in place. More to follow
