At 14.45 on Friday, 1 September, the Derbyshire Constabulary responded to a report of a dog attack on Sackville Street in Normanton. A man in his 50s, who was walking along the street, suffered injuries to his hand after being bitten by an Alsatian dog.

The police are appealing for the owner of the dog, distinguished by a silver-coloured collar, to come forward and cooperate with the ongoing investigation. Identifying and speaking to the owner is crucial in understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
