A collision involving a lorry and a car has resulted in significant traffic delays on the A229 in both directions near Maidstone. The incident, which occurred near the Running Horse roundabout, took place at approximately 5:30 am this morning. (Friday 26th January 2024)
Police have reported that one of the vehicles is now facing the wrong direction, having been shunted into road signage. The lorry involved in the collision has also sustained partial damage, leading to further obstructions on the road.
Officers from Kent Police were promptly on the scene to manage the traffic and investigate the circumstances of the collision. As of now, efforts are underway to clear the roadway and restore normal traffic flow.
