Emergency services called to dog over cliff on the Isle of Wight

Emergency Services have been called to Smuggler Haven in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight after It’s understood that a dog has gone over the cliff edge. https:///youtu.be/VB9s8qSCq08 Coastguard teams and firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire rescue service have been called to the incident that started to unfold just before 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon The cocker spaniel called Dylan who is understood to be a working dog went off exploring. The owner and his wife raised the alarm after spending a number of hours searching. Fire crews first attended due to the location of where the dog was located. The owners could hear but could not reach the stranded animal.

Fire fighters used a thermal imaging camera to pinpoint the exact location. The owners who are on holiday from East Sussex praised the rescue services for the professional and swift turn out. More to follow
